Explore Northern or Southern Croatia!

Northern Croatia: Zagreb – Slavonia – Istria

After arriving in Zagreb and meeting your contact, spend a couple days discovering the city with its distinctive 18th and 19th century Austro-Hungarian architecture. Indulge in Zagreb’s culture and history, enjoy a private tasting of and discover Croatian wines with a distinguished sommelier.

For three days discover the Slavonia region, east of Zagreb, where you will encounter local winemakers, taste local foods and wines. Historical sites and castles dating back almost 800 years will be part of your itinerary as you visit the region.

The next three days will provide the opportunity to discover and taste multiple local agricultural products from the Istria region. Discover Habsburg-era villas in the picturesque coastal town of Opatija. Visit the exquisite medieval town of Rovinj with the Church of St. Euphemia bell tower providing a panoramic view of the area. Taste more local wines and delicacies before returning to Zagreb.

 

Southern Croatia: Split – Brac – Dubrovnik

Once in Split, enjoy a private guided visit of the city including the Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have the opportunity to discover the city’s history and architecture, as well as local produce and wines. Just beyond the city, learn about the origins of Zinfandel.

Enjoy a ferry ride to the charming island of Brac and spend the day discovering its culture, gastronomy and wines while admiring amazing views of the Dalmatian coast. You will also learn about olive oil production and you will have the opportunity to taste it and cook with it.

A trip down the coast will take you to Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic and one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, where you will enjoy a private guided visit of the distinctive Old Town. The country’s cultural heritage will be shared with you on a visit to the Konavle Valley, learning about silk production and folk customs.

 

Whichever direction you want to go, an expert local guide will show you the sites (including Game of Thrones filming locations), recount the history of the land and its people, and help you discover its delicacies, so that you will never forget your Croatian experience!
