Two destinations are offered in Portugal: Lisbon and Porto!
Lisbon Golf & Culture Experience
You are met and picked up at the airport and transferred by private car to the 5-star Palacio Estoril Golf & Spa Hotel, your base for the week-long trip.
Golfers in your group will enjoy 3 rounds of golf at prestigious courses in the area, such as Estoril Golf Club, Oitavos Dunes, and Quinta da Marinha. Estoril is a Par 69 designed by Mackenzie Ross. Oitavos Dunes is a Par 71 designed by the renowned Arthur Hills and is one of the world’s top 100 golf courses. Quinta da Marinha is a Par 71 designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones.
Non-golfers will enjoy other activities, such as the use of Palacio Estoril’s spa facilities, and private guided visits of Lisbon and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sintra.
Cultural sightseeing and wine tastings will be incorporated throughout the week. Visits will include sites such as: Evora, another UNESCO World Heritage site with over 2,000 years of history; Estremoz, a significant historical site and an important marble source; the Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa which was the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza; and the Jose Maria da Fonseca family winery dating back to 1834.
Meals at a variety of restaurants in and around Lisbon will provide an interesting sample of local fare. You will have the opportunity to visit: a Fado restaurant to experience traditional folk musical performances; Cervejaria da Trindade, a historic Portuguese restaurant with tiles, frescos, arches and courtyard in a former monastery; and Cascais, a former fishing village and vacation destination.
An experienced local guide will be dedicated to your group during your stay to ensure you receive the best possible service, allowing you to relax and thoroughly enjoy your stay in Lisbon.
Porto Golf & Wine Experience
After meeting your guide and chauffeur at the airport, you will be transferred by private car to the first of two 5-star hotels for your week-long stay in and around Porto. Be ready to enjoy the luxurious amenities of the Yeatman Hotel and Vidago Palace Hotel, or similar abodes.
Golfers in your group will enjoy 3 rounds of golf at prestigious courses in the area, such as Estela Golf Club and Vidago Palace. Estela is a Par 72 designed by Duarte Sotto-Mayor. Vidago is a Par 72 designed by McKenzie Ross and remodeled by Cameron & Powell in 2010.
Non-golfers will enjoy private guided visits of Porto and the surrounding area including a walking tour along the Douro river and Porto winery visits as well as a spa experience.
The group will also enjoy cultural sightseeing and wine tastings throughout the week. Visits will include: Guimaraes, often referred to as the birthplace of the Portuguese nationality; Braga, a city with thousand years of history; a helicopter tour of historic Porto; sailing along the Douro river; and a visit to Obidos on your way back to Lisbon, an ancient fortified medieval town.
You will be in the capable hands of an experienced and dedicated local guide to ensure you receive the best possible service, allowing you to relax and thoroughly enjoy your stay in northern Portugal.
